MIDDLE SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL SEASON REVIEW

MIDDLE SCHOOL BOYS BASKETBALL SEASON REVIEW

by Blake Kingsley, parent
Sometimes wins and losses don’t fully define a season. This was the case for the Archers Middle School Boys team this season. At 4-6 the season record does not tell the full story of the season, especially when a bounce or two could have easily taken the team to a winning record. But winners abounded all season with the real story of how, under the teaching of head coach Braxton Alsop and assistant coach Mychal Hall, the boys learned how to play basketball as a team. As a team, they played hard in every game and gave the St. Stephen’s faithful much to cheer about with lots of improvement in many aspects of their game from week to week. The boys especially improved in their passing, defensive skills, and all around team play. The program looks strong moving forward. Also, a big thank you to the strong parent and student support in the stands this season. Some say the Archers have the best fans in the league. See you next season!
