… students got the chance to gain some hands-on experience with a (nearly) frictionless surface, something frequently discussed in 9th grade Physics. At the Evergreen Curling Club, students received a lesson in the physics of curling and then experienced the physics first-hand through actually curling. The field trip provided a perfect opportunity to build a greater intuition around the mechanics of motion.
