Professional Background: Before joining the St. Stephen’s community, Mrs. Walker worked with students ranging from 2nd grade to high school in both classical Christian school and Christian camp settings. She also worked as a writing center tutor while earning her bachelor’s degree.
Philosophy of Education: Mrs. Walker believes that a good and proper education is one where the student’s soul is formed to know, love, and pursue the truth. Through this education, the student is able to distinguish all that is good and beautiful amidst the chaos of our world and live a virtuous life. As a science teacher, Mrs. Walker seeks to form the souls of her students through emphasizing the importance of studying the natural world, the limitations of science, and the joy of what Kepler called “thinking God’s thoughts after him.”
