Outdoor School

Outdoor School

At a glance, Hancock Field Station may appear bleak and arid, but it couldn’t be further from that. Teeming with life, both observable and otherwise, the incredibly biodiverse location for this year’s 7th and 8th grade outdoor school was nothing short of incredible. OMSI instructors taught classes in geology, astronomy, navigation, and much more. After giving a brief lecture, instructors lead students in physical and practical application of the aforementioned content. Between the hikes, campfires, and interacting with students, staff, and instructors, we all left outdoor school with a greater appreciation for the intricacies of God’s creations, and for the many hands and feet that made this trip possible.
