Welcome! St. Stephen’s Academy is a classical Christian school in Oregon with campuses in both Beaverton and Lake Oswego. We invite you to this brief overview of student life at St. Stephen’s to learn more about who we are.
"We came to St. Stephen's Academy 10 years ago to find an academically challenging environment for our Kindergartner. We found not only an environment with high academic standards, but also a loving and supportive community. We now have 3 kids attending, ranging in grades 2 through 9. This school teaches our children how to think, reason, and respectfully communicate. We have watched the school grow and develop over the past 10 years, but it has not lost the qualities that drew us here in the first place. I know my children will be ready for whatever future education and life has for them."

"We had a strong idea of what we were looking for in a school for our children, and St. Stephen’s Academy is better than that! We wanted a school that taught reading and writing and math through the traditional methods we grew up with, and that’s when we stumbled upon classical Christian education. We love that there is an equal commitment to both “book smarts” and biblical moral character development. St. Stephen’s Academy is a school that develops students that know how to think as opposed to other systems of education that teach what to think."

"This is the school I have always wished for my kids, and I’m so thankful we found it. They value real discussion and real thinking in the classroom (at every age level), and the small class sizes allow for this. I am amazed at what my third grader has learned about logic, history, grammar, the arts; she reads serious literature and can speak intelligently about it. This is not a test mill like so many schools have become. They are getting a rich education and are developing in mind and character."
-Rebecca, Parent
"Thank you to SSA for always starting the day with teaching about God and the character-building message to SSA students. As a parent I have been blessed by listening to the Morning Welcome."
-Arvina, Parent
"We appreciate the sacrifice and many hours all the teachers put into teaching both online and in person. Going through the pandemic, all of us are thankful more than ever for teachers and schools. We are thankful for all the learning they receive and continued support from their amazing teachers. SSA has wonderful teachers who love God, love what they do, and love kids."
-Mariko, Parent
"I continue to be amazed at the character, diligence, and proficiency with which the teachers, staff, and administration are handling distance learning."
-Jamie, Parent
"Though our family has long been a friend of the school, we did not come to St. Stephen’s until part way through high school. Before that, our son attended three Christian schools in the Portland area. Each included many wonderful Christian families, administrators, and teachers, but it became apparent as the years passed that St. Stephen’s was more successfully creating a student culture that prizes Christian faith, social grace, and academic zeal."
- Craig, Parent
"The curriculum is rich, the teachers are loving and caring, the parents are committed and involved in their kids education, and most importantly my kids LOVE their school."
-Becky, Parent
