HOW CAN I APPLY?

"When we came to Oregon from out of state, we had the option to move to any area within a reasonable drive from Portland. We chose to settle in Beaverton because of St. Stephen's Academy. The warm, caring atmosphere of the school, along with the academic strength and classical focus, were exactly what we wanted for our children."

The Evergreen Clovers 4-H Club was founded at St. Stephen's Academy in September 2009 under the leadership of Sonya Rygh and Anne Huiskes.  This program is part of the Washington County Youth Extension and Oregon State University.

The Evergreen Clovers meet weekly, and they have spent the fall/winter session exploring a variety of 4-H projects.  We have explored rocketry, small animals (rabbit, dogs, cats, chickens), leather craft, fiber arts (crochet, embroidery), foods and nutrition, photography, food preservation, entomology & horticulture.

The club members will be choosing project areas to study in more depth throughout the spring semester. They will have the opportunity to display their projects at a spring festival. Club members will also have the opportunity to participate in the Washington County Fair.

This summer, students have a variety of 4-H day camps and overnight camps they may choose to participate in.
