Puppy Day

Puppy Day

Puppy Day

by the 12th grade anatomy class

Last week, a dozen English Labrador puppies came to South Campus so that they could learn to socialize with different age groups ranging from 6th- 12th grade. The senior anatomy class was given the opportunity to be “puppy assistants” for 2 hours. This gave us the opportunity to play with and cuddle the puppies in between the times when the different grades were interacting with them. We all grew extremely attached to certain puppies, and each of us had our favorites. It was a privilege to be able to play with them. Who would have thought that a highlight of senior year would be Puppy Day? All of the classes were extremely excited but respectful of the puppies and Mrs. Warren, our guest veterinarian, and her Labrador puppy breeder as they educated us about raising guide dogs and the different behavioral classes they have to go through. The day was very memorable and not long enough. We all felt blessed by our time with the adorable puppies and are looking forward to the next time we have the opportunity to interact with the breeder.
