Second, I wanted to be part of a school that strives to teach its student how to love learning and to be a light to the world around them. BS Physics - Hillsdale College M Litt Modern History - University of St. Andrews Years of teaching experience: 2 Years teaching at St. Stephen's: 2 Why I teach at St. Stephen's: I came to St. Stephen's because I needed a job, and because, in God's providence, the hiring committee liked my application. I have stayed at St. Stephen's because I have found here a remarkable commitment on all levels - staff, parents, students and board - to the noble mission of excellence in Christian education. Philosophy of teaching: Learning is painful, but teaching helps students to appreciate the pain. As a teacher, I aim to train students to articulate their knowledge well, and then to receive correction eagerly - to seek wisdom as a baby cries for milk.
